Dear Students,

For the Spring Semester of 2026 (114-2), our program is honored to invite Professor Emeritus Keiji Nakatsuji from the Graduate School of International Relations at Ritsumeikan University to serve as a visiting professor. He will be teaching the course "Japanese Diplomacy in World History" (世界史の中の日本外交).

Course details are provided below—we warmly encourage you to enroll!

  • Course Title: Japanese Diplomacy in World History (Intensive Course)

  • Instructor: Professor Keiji Nakatsuji (Professor Emeritus, Graduate School of International Relations, Ritsumeikan University)

  • Offering Department: M.A./Ph.D. Program in Japanese Studies, College of International Affairs

  • Course Dates: February 24, 2026 (Tue) – April 28, 2026 (Tue)

  • Class Time: Every Monday & Tuesday, Periods 3 & 4 (10:10 AM – 12:00 PM)

  • Language of Instruction: Japanese

  • Target Audience: Graduate students (Undergraduate students and students from other departments are also welcome to enroll)

Important Reminders Regarding Course Selection:

  • First Phase of Preliminary Selection: January 13 – January 14

  • Second Phase of Preliminary Selection: January 19 – January 21 The full course selection schedule has been posted on the Program website. Please stay mindful of these deadlines.
