From June 16 to 20, faculty and students from the Master’s Program in Japan Studies embarked on a five-day academic visit to the Kanto region of Japan. Central to this program were the enhancement of academic dialogue and the deepening of policy understanding through visits to several Japanese higher education institutions and research centers. The delegation engaged in thematic seminars at Keio University, Nihon University, and Hosei University, covering diverse topics such as social issues, economic development, popular culture, and Official Development Assistance (ODA) policies. In addition to academic institutions, the itinerary included significant organizations such as the National Diet Building, the Taiwan Visitors Association Tokyo Office, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in Japan, and the Sasakawa Peace Foundation. These site visits and expert briefings provided students with profound insights into the current state of Japan-Taiwan relations and the mechanics of international affairs. This program not only broadened the students' international perspectives and cross-cultural understanding but also strengthened the foundation for future cooperation between our program and Japan’s leading academic and policy institutions.
