On the afternoon of September 25, Assistant Professor Tadahiro Ishihara of the Master’s Program in Japan Studies led a delegation of graduate students to the Cultural Affairs Department of the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association (JTEA) Taipei Office for a study visit. The session began with a presentation by Ms. Chiaki Muramoto, Director of the Cultural Affairs Department, who shared her career experiences and discussed the organizational structure and operations of the JTEA, as well as the evolving dynamics of Taiwan-Japan relations in recent years. Director Muramoto extended a warm welcome for our students to participate in future seminars and cultural events hosted by the JTEA, expressing her hope that the students would become "Japan experts" (Chi-Nichi) in their future careers. Following the presentation, Director Muramoto engaged in a lively discussion with the students regarding their research topics, providing valuable insights that greatly benefited all participants.
